Dr. Katariina Salonen received her medical degree from Tampere University, Finland. She has worked in several areas of clinical medicine, wider healthcare, and wellness. She currently serves as an Emergency Room Doctor at the Central Hospital of Kanta-Häme (Finland). She has gained experience in all surgical specialties at Hyvinkää Hospital. Previously she has worked as a general physician at Riihimäki, Tuusula, Turenki, and Jalasjärvi Health Centers providing general and preventative care and student health care. Her internship was in Orthopedic Surgery and Internal Medicine at the Tampere University Hospital. Dr. Salonen has expanded beyond her medical expertise and has trained in both general and sports nutrition, athlete training and health and management, and business economics.
